The Ho 30 Challenge is coming to a close, but want to leave this posted article here. It relates to being open to having conversations and normalizing the topic of sex among our female peers.
Female pleasure and sexual experiences are something that we should never shy away from. The more we connect on this deeper level, it allows us to open up and share in conversations that can effect us all in some manner and bond over shared experiences. Plus, we truly do have the privilege within this country to have the ability to think and act upon such thoughts and discuss openly if we choose.
I have found this group to be extremely beneficial to me for a variety of reasons, (of which I plan to go into more detail in a wrap up post tomorrow). I’m certain that we all share in the belief that no woman should ever feel ashamed about her sexuality, body or having sex, yet we are so timid to initiate and even participate in such discussions.
My first hope is that you felt welcomed and experienced an openness within this group to speak out, if you wanted to. I hope you learned a thing or two and maybe even sparked something within your intimate relationships or even in yourself. My wish for us all is to grow more within ourselves to exude the confidence to ask for what we want and need, whether inside the bedroom or otherwise.
